Terms of Service

Agreement

By using Opus Vita products (Corpus, Stella, Hodie, Tempus), you agree to these terms. If you're using our products on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing on their behalf.

Your Account

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and the activities that occur under it. Use a strong, unique password. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you're accessing through an institution, your institution may have additional requirements.

Your Content

You own your content. Publications, grants, tasks, time entries, and other data you create remain yours. We don't claim ownership of your work.

You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the service. This license ends when you delete your content or account.

You're responsible for your content. Don't upload anything that violates others' rights, is illegal, or is harmful.

Acceptable Use

Don't use our products to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on others' intellectual property
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt our services
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our source code

Subscriptions & Payments

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You can cancel anytime through your account settings.

We may change pricing with 30 days notice. Price changes don't affect your current billing period.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@opusvita.org if you have concerns.

Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but can't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We'll provide notice when possible.

Intellectual Property

Opus Vita, our logos, and our product names (Corpus, Stella, Hodie, Tempus) are our trademarks. Our software, designs, and content are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding without permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Opus Vita is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Enterprise Terms

If you're an enterprise customer with a separate agreement, that agreement takes precedence over these terms where they conflict. Enterprise agreements may include additional terms regarding data processing, security, and support.

Termination

You can close your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you'll lose access to your account and data (subject to our data retention policy).

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
