R&R, not “revision request.” Desk reject, not “initial decline.” We know the difference between a conference paper and a journal article, between SSHRC and NSERC, between tenure-track and contingent.

Researching the intersection of technology, ethics, and consumer behavior
Opus Vita was born from firsthand experience with the tools academics are forced to use—and the ones they deserve. As a PhD candidate researching consumer psychology, I know the late nights wrestling with grant deadlines, the anxiety of tracking publications through review, and the constant juggling of research, teaching, and service.
I also know that most “productivity tools” aren't built for us. They don't understand R&R timelines, tenure clocks, or the unique rhythms of academic life. They add friction when they should remove it.
So I started building. Not because the world needs another app, but because researchers deserve tools as thoughtfully crafted as the work they do.
R&R, not “revision request.” Desk reject, not “initial decline.” We know the difference between a conference paper and a journal article, between SSHRC and NSERC, between tenure-track and contingent.
The exhausted professor at 11pm. The grad student juggling coursework and research. The postdoc managing multiple projects across different labs. Our tools are built for how academics actually work.
We're a design company, not an AI company. We use AI where it genuinely helps—and nowhere else. Technology serves your work. It's never the point.
